Why stories still matter – and how I help art and antique dealers keep them alive on social media

There is something special about slowing down to really look at things.

The quiet stillness of a gallery.

A re-read of a passage that struck you and made the world feel new again.

A close-up glance at something often overlooked: a brushstroke, a carving, a crease.

It’s a rarity now, in a world that scrolls fast and forgets even faster. And that’s why I do what I do.

I help art and antiques dealers keep the history of their pieces alive in a world that doesn’t like to stay around to listen. Not through gimmicks or trends (and I do have to manage expectations here: going viral is not the goal)  but through elegant and effective digital stories that make people pause… and listen.

I believe in slow, meaningful content.

The kind that might not hit 100,000 likes overnight… but does something far more powerful: it stops someone, even just for a second, and invites them to wonder: Who held this? Who made this? Why did it matter then… and why might it still matter now?

And when done well, it’s also one of the most powerful tools a business can use to grow, to connect, and to build lasting value!

So I suppose I just wanted to say hello and to share a little bit about why I do this work, and why my approach is different from other service providers in my industry. I’m not offering a quick viral fix or a fast-following strategy. What I am offering is a high-quality digital presence that speaks to the quality of your pieces, your values, and the next generation of collectors and curious minds.

I’ve been lucky to work with wonderful, leading antique dealers who are passionate about their collections and want to see their stories reach more people. And, the right people. Together, we craft content that’s thoughtful and engaging, without detracting from the beauty and stories behind their offerings. Find out how I help art and antique dealers tell their stories here.

Also I would like to start using this space to share my love of history, art and the beautiful objects that make up our lives. This blog will be a home for:

    • Thoughtful stories from the world of art, antiques, and design, or whatever I find interesting to write about
    • Interviews with dealers, collectors, and makers
    • Tips for digital storytelling and social media (without the fluff!)
    • Personal reflections and ideas from the archive of my mind

If you’re a dealer, collector, lover of old things and new ideas — or even just a little bit curious — welcome.
